Frequently Asked Questions
What should my CV include?

Consider the role you are applying for and make sure you meet minimum job requirements. It is crucial that you clearly present all your relevant qualifications. Tell us enough about you, but try not to exceed three pages.

Do I need a cover letter?

It is always a good idea to include a cover letter because it complements your CV/resume and makes your application more specific to the role. The cover letter should describe distinctively how you meet the requirements for the job you are applying for. The information you provide in both your CV/resume and cover letter will be used to review your application.

We will also acknowledge receipt of your application by email when your application arrives in our recruiter’s inbox. You can log in to your account at any time to check the status of your application.

What happens after I apply for a job?

We will review your application, and check how well your credentials match the job requirements. If your application meets desired requirements, you will be invited for a formal phone interview.

What happens during a phone interview?

We will ask you competency-based questions which focus on your knowledge and experience on specific tasks in the past jobs. The objective is to assess your ability to demonstrate skills for the job you have applied for. Successful candidate will be invited for a face to face interview.

How can I prepare for an interview?

On the day of the interview, we expect you to speak comfortably about your career and demonstrate your areas of expertise with relevant examples. We encourage you to visit our Website at: www.giftedmindsboys.com to learn more about our school.

What happens during a face-face interview?

We ask questions that give us additional insights that address the following statements:

  1. What makes you the ideal candidate for the job
  2. Why you are interested in working with us
  3. Why we should hire you

During the interview, we will assess your ability to perform the job and culture-fit. We want you to demonstrate your understanding about our vision, mission and core values and that you have what it takes to be successful working with us. We will ask you about your skills and experiences and encourage you to use real-life examples from your previous roles and responsibilities.

We will also review with you the key performance behaviours relevant to the role we are hiring for. Remember to keep your answers concise and relevant, and that there are no right or wrong answers. We value honesty, transparency and a positive attitude. So be confident and above all, be yourself.

What are next steps?

Our employees are our most valuable asset and we take hiring very seriously. Therefore, please be patient while we make our decision. You can also contact us after the time agreed to during the interview but rest assured that we will reach out to you when feedback has been received and decisions made.

Selected candidate will be contacted by phone for a verbal offer. This will be followed up by a written job acceptance offer letter, in which we’ll explain the next steps including our pre-employment screening process.
