Mentoring Opportunities

We welcome the privilege of working with volunteers from diverse nationalities, cultures, ethnic groups and experiences. We have variety of volunteer opportunities for people of all abilities and interests. Our immediate volunteer needs are as follows:

Academic mentoring

Our academic mentoring focuses on helping students to enhance their self-esteem, social skills and motivate them to excel at school

  • We will pair students with experienced mentors who will engage them in a supportive relationship based on academic enrichment.
  • Our mentors will help students with particular interests they want to explore in greater depth and advice students who are underperforming.
  • Mentors will help student with different needs and interests navigate current curriculum.
Career mentoring

Our career mentoring focuses on advising student about career choices, expertise he needs to be successful and networking.

  • We will match students with successful global practicing professionals from different functions.
  • Mentor will help student identify what he needs to learn and different sources of learning the skills required to be successful.
  • Mentor will offer student an opportunity to expand his existing network of personal and professional contacts.
Temporary Teachers

Our visiting teachers will complement our full time teachers. Our top priorities in teaching needs at this time are:

  • Music teachers.
  • Foreign languages (Spanish, Mandarin, etc).
  • Sports teachers.

Projects Partnership “Wish List”

We consider receiving a gift to be an honor and are excited about any gift whether big or small and in any form. We would be delighted if you choose to partner with us on any of the three community life-changing projects below:

Borehole/Well

Drilling of a borehole or a well will help:

  • Solve the water scarcity problem facing the school
  • Give neighboring community access to clean water allowing children to focus on their studies as opposed to looking for water
Music Center

Music-oriented support in terms of facility or equipments will help:

  • Enhance education for our student and youths from surrounding communities
  • Entertain students and local communities.
A Solar Power System

Solar power will help:

  • Minimize school’s electricity supply-disruptions
  • Allow the energy cost-saving to be used towards build additional school facilities to accommodate more students.
